FAQ

  • What is permanent eyeliner?
Permanent eyeliner offers a convenient solution to the daily ritual of applying eyeliner before stepping out, a task that can be both tiresome and time-intensive, particularly if precision is a challenge. This cosmetic procedure entails depositing pigment along the lash line through tattooing, imitating the appearance of conventional eyeliner. The process can be tailored to diverse styles and color preferences.
  • How Long Does Permanent Eyeliner Last?
On average, permanent eyeliner typically lasts anywhere from 2-5 years. However, it's important to note that the color and intensity of the eyeliner may gradually fade over time. To maintain the desired look, some individuals opt for touch-up sessions every 2-3 years.
  • Can I wear makeup after the procedure?
It's recommended to avoid wearing makeup on the treated area for at least the first week to ensure proper healing.
  • How long is the recovery period?
The initial healing period is about 5-7 days, during which the area may appear slightly swollen or red. The pigment may appear darker initially but will soften and lighten as it heals.
  • Is permanent eyeliner painful?
The level of discomfort experienced during a permanent eyeliner procedure can vary from person to person. Some individuals may feel minimal discomfort or slight pressure, while others might find it slightly more uncomfortable. However, most people report that the discomfort is manageable and similar to the sensation of having their eyebrows tweezed or their eyes water while cutting onions. Topical numbing creams are commonly used before the procedure to minimize any discomfort. These creams help to numb the area and make the process more tolerable. Additionally, the experience largely depends on your pain threshold, the skill of the artist, and your overall comfort level. It's worth noting that the initial sensation of discomfort typically subsides as the procedure progresses. If you're concerned about pain, you can discuss your concerns with the permanent makeup artist beforehand and they can provide guidance on how to make the experience as comfortable as possible for you.
  • How many sessions do you need for permanent eyeliner?
The number of sessions required for permanent eyeliner can vary depending on factors such as the desired style, the initial color intensity, and how well your skin holds the pigment. In general, most people achieve their desired results within one to two sessions. Here's a typical breakdown: 1. **Initial Session:** During the first session, your permanent makeup artist will consult with you to understand your preferences and create a customized plan. They'll then apply the initial layer of pigment. After the initial healing process (which takes a few weeks), the color may appear slightly darker than the desired outcome. This is because the top layer of skin exfoliates, revealing a softer and more natural shade underneath. 2. **Touch-Up Session:** A touch-up session is usually scheduled around 4 to 8 weeks after the initial session. During this session, your artist will assess the healed results and make any necessary adjustments. This can include adding more pigment to achieve the desired color and intensity, refining the shape, or making any other necessary enhancements. In some cases, individuals may require additional touch-up sessions to achieve their desired results, especially if they're looking for a more intricate or bold eyeliner style. Keep in mind that the specific process can vary based on your skin's response and your artist's technique. It's important to follow your artist's aftercare instructions and attend any scheduled touch-up sessions to ensure the best and longest-lasting results.
  • Can I choose the color and thickness of the eyeliner?
Yes, you can collaborate with your permanent makeup artist to choose the color and thickness that best complements your features and personal style.
  • What Styles of Permanent Eyeliner Can I Get?
When it comes to permanent eyeliner, there are several styles to choose from, we offer the following: Lash Enhancement: This style focuses on depositing pigment between the lashes, making them appear fuller and more defined without a distinct eyeliner line. Natural Enhancement: This style involves a thin line of pigment along the lash line, enhancing the eyes in a subtle and natural way. It's perfect for those who want a barely-there enhancement. Classic Eyeliner: Mimicking the look of traditional eyeliner, this style involves a slightly thicker and more defined line along the upper lash line. It can be customized in terms of thickness and wing length. Winged Eyeliner: Also known as a cat-eye, this style features a noticeable flick or wing at the outer corner of the eye. It adds drama and can be tailored to your preferred wing shape.

  • Is Scalp Micropigmentation Permanent?
Although the results of our procedure are permanent, it is recommended that you receive touch-ups every 3-6 years depending on your lifestyle. This is because the pigment in our skin naturally fades over time due to various factors such as sun exposure, sweating, and medication. As the skin is a living organ, it is essential to take care of your scalp micropigmentation to ensure its longevity. With proper maintenance, your SMP can last for many years.

  • How long does a scalp micropigmentation treatment take?

The subsequent sessions are generally shorter, lasting approximately 30 minutes less than the previous session.

They may also feel tight and dry. Days 3-4 may see the skin flaking and scabbing, with the color fading as well. Around Days 5-6, the lips should start feeling more normal, and the flaking should subside.
